Hawaii is known for being one of the best places around the world for all sorts of water and boating activities – from surfing and diving to fishing. Hawaii is famous for its great marine life due to it being a sea mound in the middle of the Pacific ocean.
While all the different islands have great fishing and their own unique marine environment, Kauai is known for its great deep sea fishing thanks to deep waters close to the shore. Within just three-quarter miles of the island, some areas of the ocean drop to 1,000 feet. The island is also in the middle of the migration patterns of many fish; species that can be found in the waters off Kauai include mahimahi, uku, trevally, Yellowfin tuna (Ahi), Skipjack, Wahoo (ono), and a variety of billfish.
Our charter – Ohana fishing charter is located in Nawiliwili Harbor, on the South-Eastern side of the island of Kauai. Nawiliwili area is known for being one of the most consistent fishing grounds on Kauai.
