This month has been a roller-coaster! It started a little slower, with our boat being down for a week due to some small engine issues and us having to wait for a part to arrive from California (that’s how it works on a small remote island). Once we got the boat back in the water, we been getting a lot of fish, especially for this time of the year !
We have been catching a lot of Ahis (yellowfin tuna), which usually start biting only in the summer time. Earlier this month a 6 years old and her mom reeled in 3 Ahis on a 4 hours private charter!
We also caught a couple of marlins, one of which was 850 lbs! ! ! The fight lasted for 2.5 hours and almost spool us multiple times. We had to tow it back to the harbor as it was too big to fit in the boat. And that was after already landing 2 nice Ahis just before that (100+ lbs)!
It’s been a great fishing month so far, thanks to our experienced team – they know the good spots and are out there every day hunting. Also, a huge thanks to our guests that been bringing the good luck & sunny weather with them !
